  • Work Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of full-time, nonseasonal work experience in Canada in an eligible occupation within the agri-food sector. The work experience must be acquired within the three years preceding the application.
  • Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency in English or French by providing valid language test results. The required language levels may vary depending on the specific job and employer requirements.
  • Education: While there may not be specific educational requirements, having relevant education or training in the agri-food sector can enhance the application.

The application process for permanent residency under the Agri-Food Pilot generally involves the following steps:

  • Secure a Job Offer: Obtain a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in Canada within one of the designated occupations in the agri-food sector.
